finally have got enough time to post bout my trip to china [kunming, yun nan]... hahaxx. so yeah stayed there for 9 days! really hard to survive without my handphone..so.. here it goes...
Friday,18th june 2004
couldnt sleep the whole night! so ended up watching tv throughout the night.. then in the morning found out that i had a sore throat but thought that some water will make it better so,i ignore lorhx. then went to airport took the aeroplane. hours later, finally arrived at kun ming. then i was sortta tired, so we decided to take a rest at the hotel first... so my family took a "short" nap at the hotel. okay, so i went to take a rest. then my mother tried to wake me up after a few hours.. then it was like nothing could wake me up...then she had to like shake me real hard before i awoke. then so unlucky..i was down with fever.so i was like [okay, i am stranded in the hotel..] then my family did not go out also lorhz...[guilty] hahaXx. then we just ordered the hotel food for dinner. actually we wanted to go down to the place to eat.. but there were too many mosquitoes... [me, being "sensitive" to mosquitoes made alot of noise...hahaxx] so we decided to order it to our room.okay so that was for the first day.

so, woke up later than we usually did for holidays.. then hmm.. went to eat and then went for a little shopping. we were like searching high and low for my brother's catriage [for gameboy] cox he wanted to get some more.. then the shopping centres were like selling either groceries or electrical appliances.. not much shopping for me to do there.. then after a while i felt really sick so we went back to the hotel again... hahaxx what did we eat for dinner that day? couldnt really remember already. so i'll proceed to the next day!

on this day, we visited this place called shi bo yuan where they have got all the specialities of loads of countries in there.. and different countires sent in different items! it was really an eye opener for both me and my family. and they had a small enclosed area where they sell many things from different countries.. we bought some bracelets which came from one country [obviously] but hahaxx.. couldnt rememeber what country it was. then we went one and toured the place.. there were so many things on sale.. but not all of them were wonderful.. then we passed by the station which sold singapore's specialities.. and there was actually so many axed brand oil on sale.. then the sales lady were trying to persuade us to take a look and explaining to us the things on sale.. then my family started to giggle and laugh coz, they didnt know we ourselves should know the things better than them becoz, we are singaporeans! hahaXx.. soon we finished touring shi bo yuan and we actually signed up for this tour agency to bring us around tp many places. after that, we actually went shopping.. shopping for instruments! i manage to get a cello and my bro a violin although he didnt know how to play..so, my dad brought the instrumeants back to the hotel while we continued to shop again.. this time we started buying shoes! hahxx.. so after that again, we returned to the hotel for a rest so that we will have more energy for the next day.

this day was fantastic! we visited the shi lin [stone forest] which was mountains which was all rocks! it was a beautiful place and there was this place when we could actually view the whole of stone forest from the top! although it was really high and i was abit afriad i still managed to take many pictures up there! it was like so beautiful.. a scene where u will never be able to see in singapore! one the other hand, having to climb up the stone forest, it was a really tiring job. i was totally exhausted from the climb! then we were brought to this place which is sortta like with loads of physicians. they will actually tell u which part of ur body is weak and so on and persuade u to buy the medicines! so becoz my grandma couldnt speak chinese, i became her translator, translaing to the doctor what she says and translating to her what the doctor is saying. oh yar.. btw my granny is a hokkien.. hahaxx so the doctor told me to tell her that buying a number of medicines will help her lead a healthier life and stuffs like that... and when my grandma refused to buy the medicine, the doctor sort of flew into rage and blow her top and left. i was like wow.. hahaxx anyway, we left that place soon.. and wwe were sent back to the hotel for a good rest cox the next day will be more tiring

this time, we visited a cave! it was pretty exiting at first.. as i've never been to a cave....further more, a real one.. so well, when we reached there we were made to go into a boat with sum others and we were like canooing? [wadeva it is spelt] hahaxx.. so we canooed into this erm.. river? with real dirty water! ok... didnt wanna touch the water.. so the place was called jiu xiang anyways..so we climbed up the cave and it was totally wet and slippery! almost slip and fall.. if really slip and fall.. u guys will never see me again.. hahaxx.. really! ok and tis was much more tiring than shi lin [the stone forest] there was lots of spring water in the cave... and according to my mother who touched it, she commented it was like ice water... so on that very night, we went to take a train to Dali.. another part of china and we slept overnight in it.. in a cabin, there were six bunks.. one below one in the middle and one on top.. then we took like 4 bunks and btw..the otehr 3 bunks were opposite of the 3 bunks.. so the other 2 bunks were occupied by two guys probrably in the 40s? then we later found out we were from the same tour.. so i was sleeping on the middle bunk.. and on the bottom bunks were my granny on one side and another guy on the other..so the moment he slept, he started snoring real loudly.. that i couldnt sleep.. so i stayed up the whole night chatting with my dad.. then at around 2 plus i was forced to sleep cox my dad was already sleepy...

we arrived at dali in the early morning.. and my brother wasnt feeling well.. so we continued our tour while he was sent back to the hotel together wif my dad...so todays tour, we went to a ship...sumthing like starcruise? but there is no bed... so yeah..we stayedin the boat for 5 whole hours! so bored on board... we went down the ship 3 times to tour sum islands? but there wasnt much on it also.. so after we alighted from the ship, we went to the butterfly park..sumthing like the one in our own sentosa...only that there were more butterflies... then we went to the ancient city of dali.. i manage to get the dizi for kathleen and my bro and one for me...hahaxx.. and i also cannot blow the dizi..lol.. so we were back to the hotel to have our dinner and we retired for the night.

then we took a bus to lijiang in the morning.. [another part of china as well, near dali] then we were brought to the ancient city of lijiang.. tis ancient city was much better than the one in dali! and i bought a pipa and went back to hotel after awhile.. then we were watching this hilarious comedy about the famous poet if i am not wrong, tang bo hu.. then after watching the show, we were down for dinner again. after dinner, we went back to the ancient city as my father decided to get a guitar as well.. the guitar he got was like beautiful.. it was blue and the tone of black was like perfectly spreaded out on the side of the guitar.. so it was quite late so we went back to take a rest again at the hotel..hahxx

actually suppossed to return to singapore on this day.. however there was no more flight tickets so we took the saturday flight. then we went to visit the xue shan [snow mountain] it was like so beautiful! and the tour guide was actually trying her best to persuade us to not go up there so on and so for.. but we insisted on going up there so it was like.. too bad... and the 5 guyx in the same tour group as me said that probrably she was trying to keep the money which was supposed to be used for our entrance fee to herself.. so bad ritex? well, after visiting the snow mountain, we were brought to the so called cheapest jewellry shop in lijiang.. haix... most of the trips they actually brought us to duty-free shops.. anyways.. in the shop, there was this counter with an old man sitting in there. u could actually bring the jade you perchased and let him see if it was of good quality. one of the guys in my tourgroup actually brought the jade to him where he had bought outside in another duty free shop and the old man confirmed that the jade was of a grade [the best grade]! the guy was like so happy lor.. he sortta shouted yay in the shop and he started to dance a little.. hahaxx he was like also shaking his butt? lol.. [happy for him.. hehexx] so after that, we took a bus back to dali to get ready for another train ride back to kun ming. so at the train station, we still had quite some time to go.. so as a family, we managed to gather together at a couch which i was really happy lorx.. cox my parents are always busy with their work.. seldom have time to spend with us.. so we finally managed to spend some quality time together.. then we started to play murderer.. the one where there is a detective, a murderer and victims... so although it was sort of childish, but my bro simply loved that game? so we just played with him. then soon time passed quickly and we were on board the train on our way back to kunming.. this time i teased agan.. i said whoever sleeping on the bunk next to the guy who snores really loud will be sooo unlucky! and guess what? i was the unlucky one sleeping on the bunk next to him! oh my... really couldnt sleep the whole night already..

yay.. reached kun ming early in the morning.. finally! i'm going back to singapore! so our flight was around 3.30.. so we went back to the previous hotel to collect our stuffs and we lazed around there.. soon, it was time to leave.. when i was transferring my stuffs up the car, i found that my pipa's head actually broke! i was like who is the idiot who broke it? i am like furious already.. then i suspect its some one from the hotel.. most probrably the guy who we passed the lagguage to.. cox when i passed it to him it was ok... and according to my mother's friend who met us at the hotel, she said that the pipa experienced a bad knock before it was damaged.. and it would cause a very loud sound..and when it was with me, there wasnt any loud sound! so...thats why i suspected it was the guy frm the hotel.. haix.. what could i do?so just left for singapore lor... then at the airport, i requested to hand carry my cello in with me.. unfortunately, the size was too big.. so i had to check in as lagguage..then after talking to the manager, we had her adssurance that if any damages had been done to the cello, we were able to lodge a complaint.so no choice, we checked it in as lagguage.. the moment i reached singqapore, i immediately checked the cello when it was in my hands. after glancing it from the side, i was relieved that there wasnt any scrathes or anything.. luckily my dad reminded me to take out the whole cello to check before we left.. just as i expected, there was a dent on the side of the cello.. [wah] immediately, i took the cello and went to the service counter and lodged a complaint... the lady then taught us how to send the letter to the airline to lodge a complaint.. hehexx... that was bout it for my trip to china!

[kekeXx] i am like nuts, blooging at this hour. well today, woke up at my normal time again 11 or 12? got short term memory (stm) thats why cant really remember. then after lazing around, i went for my ballet lessons. it was actually quite fun and i had loads of fun with my great friends! then we had a little of our point shoes lesson..so disapointed still havent get my point shoe yet. however, watching some of our "seniors" dance with their point shoes...was like a torture! they were suppossed to spin on their toes! its like [ouchieXx] that hurts! cant imagine what will be of me when i start dancing with point shoes. don't wanna end the lesson with my leg dislocated.. then after my ballet lesson i went to mcdonalds with my dad for a drink.. [haiXx] couldn't resist the temptation and got some fries too.. *FaTtEning leHx* then after that went to the arcade to join my lil bro in counterstrike.. played for a while then went home for dinner.. after the quick dinner we went bowling! [whieeeXx] so fun.. but i always bowl the ball into the drain! no fair..couldn't strike.. hey hey! i beginner kx? cant expect much from me de! [heheXx] then we played and played untill 1.10 a.m like that then my daddy wanted to go home to catch his soccer match. but unfortunately my mummy so clever. knew what he was up to! so she insisted on going to the cofee shop with the whole family. he was like grumbling all the way and complained that who would eat at this hour after my mother ordered a bowl of hot soup for me as my gastrits were getting from bad to worst.. [hahaXx] i made my bro drink 3/4 of it cox i didnt wanna get fat and he agreed to it anywayz. after drinking 2 spoons of the soup the sight of my father buying roti prata made me laugh.. he was the one complaining and in the end ordered roti prata... but he said he couldnt resist the temptation for him to buy it. (didnt he know that roti prata is very very fattening?) [kekeXx] well.. thats bout it... stayed up so late cox i didnt wanna sleep straight away after i ate cox will be fat de.. so gonna catch some rest now... lataz

today was probrably better and at last i managed to have a little fun during this june holidays.. at first i didnt really want to tag along with my bro and his friends for bowling.. but in the end i was still forced by my mother. so just go [lorx] but it wasnt that bad actually. it was quite fun and i was like talking to so many small boys around me they were real fun to be with as they run about joke and laugh with those childish thought of theirs..[hehexx] it was only my second time i went bowling in fact. and i was really suprised that i managed to clique pretty well with this fun-loving group of primary school boys.. after we finished our rounds of bowling, all of us decided to split up..it was just a short gathering.. then i brought my bro for lunch at burger king and then head back home! [hahaxx] well thats bout it..maybe i'll blog again later..cyaz

so bored at home! [whieee] already bought my point shoes for ballet yesterday! so nice. but the sole is wood so that we can stand on our toes? [kekexx] but will get injured easily. i dun want to get a sprained ankle though. now a days ballet so tiring! gotta do so many steps just to get the elder girls ready for exams. [wah] got scolded in front of everyone for nothing.. my gandma just came into yamaha and just yelled her head off...for no reason! cannot take it. then after my grandma was my brother they 2 were giving me loads of problem nagging at me for this and that and i even had to bring them to the food court to settle their dinner and they were like rushing me for their food. after putting down the food, then they rushed me for drinks. [aiyox] giving me headaches. [haha] ok lah.. after settling their dinner then finally could get some peace and quiet. sop boring! nothing to do..okie..gonna go catch some sleep again! byex..

wow..had to celebrate my brother's brithday yesterday! it was quite ok.. except that i had to give in to him in everything and he actually used the lamest excuse i ever heard... "you cannot bully me! its my birthday!" ok, i accepted the excuse and at 12 am i tried to disturb him again.. this time he said "you cant bully me... cox one of my wish was that you wouldn't bully me!" whoa.. he is only 10 and he is already so sly! wait till my birhtday! [grinz] okok.. enough of all the crap! back to what i did yesterday. actually all i did yesterday was... going to tampines mall and play. play what? play counterstrike... -_-" lame right? but it was in fact quite fun lahz.. so it was quite alright.. after that, me and my brother went to take neoprints.. it turned out quite well! suprised.. [hahaxx]then we rushed to palm beach to have our dinner.the food there was [yuckz] however, the other branch had just opened 3 days ago! and many of their workers have gone over to the new branch. worst of all there was very limited food mostly everything was sold out. it was totally pathetic! well, signing off now!! Science camp in school + Harry Potter & The Prisoner Of Azkaban

[Whee] what a day! i had to go to school for the science camp in the morning from 8 all the way to 4.30! first we had to make pizze...*gosh* i can't cook! didn't they know?! my cooking is horrible and practically everyone in ~2003 * 6 frangi gals * know that! that was why my group members didn't even let me touch the wok last year when mrs sudiman organized a home-economics lesson for us to try out cooking.. in fact, whaat can one expect from me when i am scared of knives, cant even beat an egg, cracks the egg horribly and i can't even start the fire! [hehexx] that was why all i had to do last year was sit around and talk.. most importantly i just did the eating! that was all i did throughout the 1 hour of home economics lesson. could even remember the time during our primary 5 camp, we were made to cook instant noodles. and the poor teacher had to taste our food.. poor her! she had to keep visting the toilet after eating the food we cooked. okay, back to today's science camp. we had to bake pizza..okay. seriously, it was fun and interesting as we could play around with the dough and so on. but the worst part was, we were made to eat the pizza after cooking it! my partner and my pizza was the most horrbile pizza we seen. the pizza was burnt and left in the home-economics room for me to collect... after collecting it reluctantly, i went out of the home-economics room with my friends. everyone was disguisted by the sight of their pizzas but we were forced to eat the pizzas we made ourselves! after eating up our pizza, we went for a short briefing on science ( moulds and so on ) finally after the lesson, we went to the laboratory for a short science lesson on the introduction to DNA with my home tutor ( form teacher ) and we did some simple experiments in the laboratory. after the experiments in the laboratory, we had a short break. the break ended quickly and the science camp continued with the activities planned.. our next station was the IT resource room. we had to learn to operate a small machine which will enable us to take the temperature of the air and stuffs like that. it was quite boring after all and we often needed help from the teacher as my friends and i were chatting away and we totally forgot that we had a lesson to continue! [hehexx] after that, our class together with 1/6 went to the av room to haf a lesson combining our 2 classes... the lesson again, was about science and it was about genes! the topic sounded fun, but the teacher who was conducting the lesson was extremely boring! she was really long winded and almost everyone were busy chatting away, whispering and doodling with their pencils. after this lesson, it was time for dismissal and i rushed home to bath and get changed for the harry potter and the prisoner of askaban movie! i made it to the cinema just in time with my brother and searched for our seats quickly not hoping to disturb all the people who are seated getting ready to watch the movie.the show started with a humorous beginning that set all of us in the cinema laughing loudly. soon, the climax began and everyone had their eyes glued to the screen, watching the movie excitedly. the movie ended in roughly 3 hours and it was 9+ where everyone left the cinema with a broad smile on their faces. well i gonna go catch sum sleep.. [yawnz]

hmm... todays alot better than yesterday in fact.. went to school early in the morning for chinese orchestra.. finally got to play my darling cello.. [hehexx] in fact, i actually had to go for maths remedial instead of chinese orchestra.. but who cares right? [lolxx] since i could choose between chinese orchestra and maths remedial, i would definetly choose chinese orchestra right? [hahaxx] thats common sense in fact. wow... almost got caught by our dicipline master for ankle socks and not plaiting my hair! just when i was about to go up the stairs to the chinese orchestra room, i saw this dark figure, followed by his voice... whoa! he was scolding my friends who have just been caught by him for folding their socks below their ankle! [whiee] i ran at the sight of him, ran up the other stairs all the way up to the 4th storey... phew! *wipes sweat* that was close! if i've been the one caught by him... can't imagine what will happen for not plaiting my hair and wearing ankle socks! maybe i'll be having nightmares tonight huh? soon chinese orchestra ended and guess what?! everyone had to bring their instruments back! everyone sarted to grab their bags and run! definetly i am one of them too.. but just when i am about to leave, i remembered having to pass my parent's letter to one of my chinese orchestra teacher. so i had no choice but to turn around to look for the teacher. just at this moment, the china teacher asked me where is my instrument. what could i say? of course say its in the chinese orchestra room right? then she asked a question i would expect her to ask. why aren't u bringing ur insturment back? wah... what could i say? luckily my senior told her i was going away on a holiday. she shot back a question asking when am i leaving. however, when she heard the date... she was like thats so long away! go bring ur insturment back to practise.. my jaw was like dropping already.. [hehexx] i was like huh?! cello you know? do you have any idea how biggy it is? but all she said was... ya.. bring it home to practise! then my seniors started pushing me into the room and said take bring home take bring home... [haix] could i say anything? [hahaxx] now the cello's lying on my bed. afraid sumone will damage it... well thats for today! gotta go catch some rest already. byex!~
